Roulette is still successful and one of the reasons is for the variety of bets players can place. Amateurs and professional players find the range of betting
amounts attractive. These bets are called the inside or outside bets.

Inside bets are those bets on slots on the inside of the roulette wheel. Players are betting on one number and can also decide to bet on multiple numbers inside the roulette wheel. Betting two numbers that appear constantly on the inside wheel is known as split. Betting on three numbers is called street bet and four numbers is a corner bet. Five numbers bet is called five number. Double street bet is for six consecutive numbers. Players can possibly spread their inside bets across the roulette table.
Outside bets is pertaining to the outer rim of the roulette wheel. The bets must be placed together and cannot be spread across the roulette table as the inside bets. This bet includes certain aspects of the slot such as color. Players can wager on the color of slot where they think the ball will land. Another example of an outside bet it to predict if the ball will land on either odd or even number. These types of bets are called the matching bets. If you are correct, you will win the same amount of your bet. If you bet £10 that the ball will land on an odd number and it does, you would get back your initial wager of £10 along with another £10.
