Online roulette is extremely popular worldwide, and it is one of the most recognizable because of it’s unique charm. Who wouldn’t fall in love with the wheel, the spinning ball, chips flying all over table? If you see these features you know that is is associated with casino gambling and you know it is roulette. The games gives excitement to every player and a fortune for the lucky ones.

The game roulette offers a variety of bets to choose from. Some of the listing of all bets below are only available for Europan roulette games. There are two standards bets, the “inside “and “outside bets”. These two are somehow important because most tables have minimum bets on both the inside and outside bets. If you want to place your bet on inside bets, your total bets must meet the minimum amount required on the table, same goes to outside bets.

Let’s speak about the Inside Bets which consist of Single Number Bets and Split bets.

The Single Number Bets cover just a single number and if that number hit on the next spin you win 35-1.

While in the Split Bet there are two adjoining numbers on the roulette table and it either number is hit on the next spin, you win 17-1.

Next is the Street Betting which covers three numbers in a row and if any of those three numbers are hit, you win 11-1.

There is also the Corner Bet that has a square of four number place on the corner shared by four numbers. If any of the four numbers are hit on the next spin, you win 8-1.

Another one is the Six Line Roulette Betting which has two rows of three numbers each, with six number totally and pays 5-1.

When it comes to the First Five Bet the numbers are 0-00-1-2-3, and pays 6-1 if any of these numbers are hit. This mostly apply to American Roulette.

Now for the Outside Bets that has one of the three columns on the roulette table and each number contains 12 numbers. If any of these numbers are hit, you win 2-1.

Some other types of bets are as follow:

1st 12/2nd 12/3rd 12: In these type of bet one third of the non-zero numbers on the table (1-12, 13-24, or 25-36) are covered. If a number is hit on the next spin, 2-1.

You can also bet on Red/Black, which are numbered pokets that half of the numbers are red and half are black but there are also zeroes that are coloured green. You win if the color of the pocket matches your bet, and you win even money.

Odd/Even are also a kind of bet, in which if you predict which number the ball will land odd or even number, you will win even money too.

1-18/19-36 also win even money if the next spin results in the range of numbers you bet on.

These are some of the kind of bets that can only be use in European Roulette and these bets are known as the French bets:

Voisins du Zero (Neighbours of Zero) – this bet has nine different wagers that cover 17 numbers on the wheel that are next to zero, ranging from 22 to the 25.

Jeu Zero (Zero Game) – this bet places four different bets on the numbers that are close to zero on the wheel: 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32 and 15.

Le Tiers du Cylindre (Thirds of the Wheel) – this bet features six wagers covering 12 numbers that lay between 27 and 33.

Orphelins (Orphans) – this bet has 5 wagers covering the bets that are not part of the Tiers or Voisins bets. These numbers are 17, 34, 6, 1, 20, 14, 31 and 9.

And last but definitely the least, the Final Bets, which bets are placed on every number that ends the same digit. For example 5, 15, 25 and 35.

There is a special rule in European roulette and under this rule the player makes even money bet (for instance, Red/Black or Odd/Even), and the ball lands in zero and does not lose their entire wager. However, in some casinos player will only lose half of their bet and in some the bet is imprisoned and is released (with no winnings awarded) if the bet win on the next spin. If the winning number on the next spin is zero, the rule will vary on whatever happens to the bet; sometimes the bet still loses, while in others, it remains imprisoned.
