The Fibonacci Roulette Strategy

The Fibonacci Roulette strategy is based on the mathematic sequence that was discovered by Leonardo Pisan, whose passion was mathematics. His knowledge about the culture of many nations gave him the opportunity to solve many mathematical problems. This sequence was popular in India, where they applied it to the metrical sciences and became well-known in Europe in the 13th century.

In the Fibonacci, the next number is equal to the sum of the two previous ones. Here are the first 12 numbers in the sequence:

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144
This system is used in roulette betting, which follows the sequence to determine how much wager is on an even money bet. If your bet wins on the first go, you just start the sequence again. And if you lose, you just cross out the two numbers in the sequence, and continue betting. This system is finished when all the numbers are crossed out and you go back to how much money you had from the beginning.

Using the Fibonacci System at the roulette table is less agreesive than using the Martingale system. Here is an example of how the system works:

Let’s say you are betting on an even money payout like ‘red;

Bet 1 unit and lose 1
Bet 1 unit and lose 1 1
Bet 2 units and lose 1 1 2
Bet 3 units and lose 1 1 2 3
Bet 5 units and win 1 1 2 3
Bet 2 units and lose 1 1 2
Bet 3 units and win 1 1 2
Bet 1 unit and win 1

The Fibonacci roulette system is less aggressive when compared to the Martingale system, as there is far less of an increase on the amount you are wagering from one bet to another.

Therefore on a series of losing spins, it will take longer to recoup your losses, unlike in the Martingale system which only requires one bet, and returns a little extra on top.

The Fibonacci is considered to be flawed because you are only following a sequence of numbers that dictate how much bet you should put. Just because this system is one of the popular ones, it doesnt mean that this actually works on the roulette wheel.

After all, this system is just as good as betting on red all the time. So at the end of this sequence, you are left with nothing but the hope of getting lucky and win.
