Different Roulette Variations

Roulette is one of the most well-known table games in the casino globally. However, not all of them can be seen in every country. The list below are some of the roulette game variations, which might be familiar to you.

European Roulette is the most popular around the world and it is played in Europe and Australis online casinos. It features 37 numbers on the roulette wheel and board. The numbers are from 1 to 36 and a single zero. The single zero on the wheel and the board is not considered as an even number. If the dealer hits zero, all bets will be remove from the table, except those on the zerom which earn a payout. The presence of the zero gibes the house it’s edge.

American Roulette is obviously popular in American casinos like in Las Vegas. Instead of having 37 numbers, the American Roulette wheel features 38. The extra number on the wheel is the double zero that gives the house an even bigger house edge over the players.

French Roulette was invented in France, so the country has it’s own version of the game. The French Roulette board has a different layout than the other roulette game. If you don’t speak French, you might need a quick French/English translation to understand what are in the board. One term is the La Prtage rule, Partage is sharing in French. This rules means that any even money bets are shared with the house. Players can surrender half of their bets if the ball lands on zero. This rules is better than European and American Roulette where all even bets are lost if the ball lands on zero.

California Roulette can be played at Australian casino, in which you can walk into the crown, play Roulette, head online and play the same style of game without missing a beat. However, in the United States, despite being the gambling capital of the world, not every state in Las Vegas is gambling friendly. California is one of those states and at California casinos, only games of skill and card games are allowed, which only means no Roulette.

But still, roulette players have an option to play a roulette game in California and it is called the California Roulette. Instead of using a wheel with slots, the California Roulettte wheel has cards, numbered 1 to 36, 0 and 00. Players can bet on the Roulette board just like how they would bet in an Australian casino’s regular roulette. The dealer spins the wheel, and once the wheel stops, the card will be remove and present it to the players. All winning bets are paid out accordingly.
